Botany and physiology of plants
Graduate of the Biology discipline, Master study program Botany and physiology of plants will gain extensive theoretical knowledge in the broader basis of plant biology disciplines. He will also gain basic methodological skills for research work (foundation of experiments in field and laboratory conditions, field work, biotechnological methods, some analytical methods - karyological, chemical in relation to plant analysis, enzymologic and other methods of evaluation of experiments) He will also gain experience with presentation of results on conferences and in their publishing. Graduate will obtain conditions for continuing in the 3rd level of education in disciplines Botany, Physiology of plants and some related applicator fields. He can find employment at university, academic and other research facilities and operational laboratories of agricultural enterprises, in administration of protected territories and in the state resource conservation.

If the conditions for admission without an entrance exam are not fulfilled, the applicant may be admitted on the basis of outcome of Master study entrance exam, in the standard length of study of two or three years. The content of the entrance exam matches the content of a corresponding Bachelor exam of the study program, to which is the given Master study program connected and it's available on the faculty website.

Conditions for international students
International students who will study in Slovak language are admitted under the same conditions as Slovak applicants, In the case of study in English language, they are admitted and are studying on the basis of a study agreement, which is concluded individually with each student.

Conditions of admission without the entrance exam
Applicant will be admitted without an entrance exam, if he fulfiled the conditions of Bachelor study program and completed the Bachelor state exam from required subjects which in the case of a graduate of other faculty or university are equivalent to subjects of state exam of corresponding Bachelor study program at FoS UPJŠ. Standard length of Master study programmes in this case is two years,
