Characteristic of the graduate:
has adopted the basics of methodology of scientific work and scientific problem formulation.
is proficient in scientific methods of research and development in the area of physics, which he can apply in problem solving in the area of natural sciences
has coherent knowledge of multiple scientific disciplines which enables efficient work in inter-discipline teams,
knows how to use methods of quantum chemistry, thermodynamics and statistical physics in specific applications of molecular biophysics,
knows a broad spectrum of experimental methods providing complex and complementary view on biological systems on a molecular level.
knows how to independently formulate and create solutions to problems using methods of molecular spectroscopy, quantum chemistry and chemical physics, apply methods of computer modeling and interpretation of complex systems, communicate with experts in related scientific fields (biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology, genetics, pharmacology, immunology, bioinformatics)

If the conditions for admission without an entrance exam are not fulfilled, the applicant may be admitted on the basis of outcome of Master study entrance exam, in the standard length of study of two or three years. The content of the entrance exam matches the content of a corresponding Bachelor exam of the study program, to which is the given Master study program connected and it's available on the faculty website.

Conditions for international students
International students who will study in Slovak language are admitted under the same conditions as Slovak applicants, In the case of study in English language, they are admitted and are studying on the basis of a study agreement, which is concluded individually with each student.

Conditions of admission without the entrance exam
Applicant will be admitted without an entrance exam, if he fulfiled the conditions of Bachelor study program and completed the Bachelor state exam from required subjects which in the case of a graduate of other faculty or university are equivalent to subjects of state exam of corresponding Bachelor study program at FoS UPJŠ. Standard length of Master study programmes in this case is two years,
