Prospects of graduates
A graduate of the Master's degree programme in Theatre Arts acquires the professional competence to perform the profession of an actor, director or dramaturge as an independent theatre creator at the level of Master of Arts.
The graduate of the Master's degree finds employment in demanding work activities that can be carried out in theatre and other professional art bodies, film and multimedia, secondary and higher art education, journalism and journalism.
He is technically and personally prepared for independent creative work in versatile theatre production.
He has all the prerequisites to work as an independent creator, but also as a member of an artistic team, adapting to teamwork and the ability to lead a team, to keep in touch with the latest developments in the disciplines of dramatic arts and to continue his/her own professional development.
The graduate can find employment as a member of artistic ensembles of professional theatres, creator of independent artistic projects, film, radio, dubbing creator, in leading functions of cultural institutions and drama departments of art schools and in a wide range of artistic, educational and organizational activities that require high qualifications.
A graduate of the Master's degree may continue, after successful completion of the entrance examinations, in a doctoral degree in a related or related study programme.

Acceptance to the Master's programme requires successful completion of the Bachelor's degree in Acting, Theatre Dramaturgy and Directing or a related study programme and demonstration of abilities and personal disposition for the chosen study programme.
In the event that admissions interviews at FDU AU are held prior to the applicant's bachelor's degree completion date, the applicant is admitted to the program on a conditional basis.
The prerequisites for admission are adequate theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of theatre arts, knowledge of the history of Slovak and world theatre at the bachelor's degree level, an overview of cultural and artistic developments and knowledge of one world language.
The entrance examination is designed to test the applicant's level of knowledge, talent, thinking, abilities and skills in terms of the specific requirements that arise for the applicant from the chosen Master's degree programme.

An applicant with a disability, upon his/her request for a modification of the form and manner of the entrance examination to take into account his/her specific needs, FDU AU will determine the form of the entrance examination and the manner of its administration, taking into account his/her medical problems.
In order to apply the same assessment criteria to all applicants to study at FDU AU, it is not possible to set an alternative date for the admission procedure.
The entrance examination is a single-round examination and is conducted over one day in the form of a personal interview. The date will be adjusted annually according to the current schedule.
