Applied Mechanics and Mechatronics
The study focuses on technically progressive machines and equipment that combine demanding elements of mechanical engineering, electronics and computer science. In doing so, methods of computational mechanics, intelligent materials, sensor arrays, neural networks, methods and means of automatic control are used, together with computing apparatus such as local area networks and database systems. Graduates will be employed in the operation and maintenance of measurement, control, robotic and mechatronic systems, or in the design of new products that have a certain kind of intelligence, such as ABS systems, EDS, airbags in cars, various systems in consumer technology, etc.
Prospects of graduates
Applied Mechanics and Mechatronics - the studies focus on technically progressive machines and devices, which combine in themselves the elements of intensive Engineering, electronics and informatics. This employs the methods of computer mechanics, smart materials, sensor arrays, neural networks, methods and means of automatic control, together with the apparatus of computing technology such as local networked computers and database systems. The graduates can be employed in organising the operation and maintenance of measuring, control, robotic and mechatronic systems, or in designing new products, which have some kind of intelligence, such as ABS, EDS, airbags in cars, various systems in consumer technology and so on.
