The main objective
The Slovak Agricultural Library at SPU in Nitra invites the general public to the event Sustainable Library within the Slovak Libraries Week. The event is intended for everyone who likes books, is creative or is interested in sustainability issues.
Event start: 9:00 a.m.
Event programme:
- Lecture: Sustainability, climate protection and biodiversity
Speaker: Marta Fandlová, climate activist and ambassador of the European Climate Pact
Lecture time: 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. - Workshop: Upcycling. Creative workshops. Using old books
Lecturer: Mgr. Róbert Miček, artist and teacher at the Tralaškola School of Art and Design, Nitra
Time: 11:00 a.m. - 14:00 p.m. - Accompanying event: Memory in books - a walk through the library warehouses, where there are more than 300 000 books. In addition to a comprehensive collection of agricultural literature from the beginning of the 20th century on Slovak (Czechoslovak) agriculture, there are books from all fields of human knowledge.
Time: by arrangement
Accompanying event: Reliable library (throughout the week).
Aim of the activity: help with bachelor's thesis, diploma thesis - search and correct citation.
