The main objective

ESOF (EuroScience Open Forum) je najväčším interdisciplinárnym vedeckým stretnutím v Európe. Jeho zámerom je vedecký výskum a inovácie a ponúka jedinečný rámec pre interakciu a komunikáciu-vedeckú debatu pre vedcov, vedeckých pracovníkov, tvorcov inovatívnych politík, podnikateľov a aj pre širokú verejnosť.

ESOF (EuroScience Open Forum) is the largest interdisciplinary science meeting in Europe. It is dedicated to scientific research and innovation and offers a unique framework for interaction and debate for scientists, innovators, policy makers, business people and the general public.

Created in 2004 by EuroScience, this biennial European forum brings together over 4 000 researchers, educators, business actors, policy makers and journalists from all over the world to discuss breakthroughs in science. More than 40% of the participants are students and young researchers.

Topic circuits

The ESOF 2018 six-day event includes various programmes. Its content is selected by the Programme Committee, based on proposals from the scientific community and guided by current topics related to science and technology. Most of the sessions will be held in English.

The ESOF 2018 theme is ʺSharing Science: Towards New Horizonsʺ. Sharing Science is a key factor of progress, innovation and dialogue with the society.
