100 Years of Czecho-Slovak Statehood, Juristics and Security

Cieľom konferencie je sústrediť sa na významné míľniky československej štátnosti, genézy prvej republiky, dôležité udalosti postavenia štátu a zrodu samostatných republík. Významnosť konferencie spočíva v prezentovaní výsledkov vedecko-výskumnej činnosti, pokroku a vytvorenie priestoru pre širšiu odbornú diskusiu zameranú na viaceré otázky československej štátnosti, evolúcie právnych noriem a právnych odvetví presahujúce do nových oblastí spoločenského života. Záujmovými oblasťami budú aj otázky vývoja bezpečnosti vo vymedzenom období, formovanie bezpečnostných zložiek a polície.

Súčasťou konferencie bude aj pohľad do histórie optikou artefaktov, fotografií, technických prostriedkov, či výstavou uniforiem. Účastníci konferencie budú mať možnosť spoznať genézu vybraných prostriedkov policajnej a bezpečnostnej praxe a konfrontovať s dosiahnutým pokrokom súčasnej doby.

The aim of the conference is to focus on some important milestones for Czechoslovak statehood, the genesis of the First Czechoslovak Republic, important events connected with the role of the state as well as the establishment of independent republics. The importance of the conference lies in presenting results of scientific research and progress and in providing a useful forum for a wide-ranging specialist discussion on various issues related to Czechoslovak statehood, the evolution of legislation and areas of law spreading into new fields of the life of society. The conference will also examine the development of security issues in the specified period, the formation of security forces and police.

The conference will also look at history through a lens of artefacts, photographs, technical means as well as an exhibition of uniforms. Conference participants will have an ideal opportunity to become familiar with the genesis of selected means applied in police and security practice and to be confronted with the progress which has been achieved up to the present.

Conference participants are requested to send their registration forms in electronic form by email to konferenciaapz@akademiapz.sk not later than 30 September 2018.

Papers have to be sent in electronic form to konferenciaapz@akademiapz.sk not later than 31 October 2018.

The submitted papers will be published in reviewed conference proceedings with an ISBN.

Conference fee: 15 EUR for non-presenting participants (the fee covers the costs connected with the organization of the conference)
