Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development

Graduates of MSc study programme "Sustainable agriculture and rural development" are able to execute own proposals of solving issues related to sustainable agricultural systems in relation to non-production functions of agriculture and rural development; to make effective decisions on methods, technologies, technics and means in sustainable agricultural systems and related areas. Graduates are able to propose, design, implement sustainable agricultaral systems in various agro-climatic conditions; to analyse and manage technological processes, he/she understand the key componets of agricultural systems theory with ability of critical analysis in the whole complex of issues.



Prospects of graduates

Graduates are prepared for positions as top-managers in all types of institutions and subjects of agricultural sector, agri-food sector, state, private and public institutions, self-government organisations, regional offices for environmental issues, development of tourism and others.

For admissionis

     * successful completion of the program of study I. degree in the same or a related program of study and the completion of state exam.
    *achieved learning outcomes



Conditions for international students

Foreign applicants for the study from European Union member states or states that are party to the European Economic Area and Switzerland, the Republic of Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Montenegro, the Republic of Macedonia, Moldova, Republic of Serbia, Ukraine or citizens residing in a Member State shall take the same conditions as nationals of the Slovak Republic. Foreign bidders from other countries can apply for study at FAFR SUA in Nitra:

- on the basis of international agreements after the successful completion of language training at the Institute of Language and Training University in Bratislava,

-as a self-financing.
