Radiological Technology
The aim of the educational activity of students in the first stage of higher education in the field of Health Sciences in the study programme Radiological Technology is to acquire practical and theoretical qualification of the profession of radiological technician. Under professional supervision, they take part in radiological imaging examinations during the examination or treatment of patients/clients and at the time of radiotherapy procedures on the basis of a specialist doctor's order. The study provides comprehensive undergraduate training for radiology technicians. The content of the study includes practical, technical and methodological activities.
Another objective is the preparation for independence in performing professional, highly responsible work carried out without the necessary assistance or presence of a physician, with the necessary flexibility in decision-making, which makes them sought-after workers in hospitals, polyclinics and specialized diagnostic centers. They are proficient in the use of sophisticated equipment such as magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography, ultrasonography, nuclear medicine technology and others.

Additional information
There are two study programmes accredited at the Faculty of Physiotherapy in the first cycle of higher education in full-time and external form in the study programme Physiotherapy and in the study programme Radiological Technology. In the second level of higher education there is an accredited study programme Physiotherapy in full-time and part-time form. The third level of higher education of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava is provided in the study programme Physiotherapy in full-time and part-time form from AR 2022/2023.
The study is carried out under the guidance of experienced lecturers, external lectures are also given by top experts from other institutions. Practical teaching takes place in contracted medical facilities, e.g. in Piešt'any, Trnava, Bratislava, Kováčová and others. In addition to studying, students have the opportunity to engage in scientific activities, participate in professional congresses and symposia, and complete foreign internships. FZV organizes, supports social and sports activities of students.
Conditions for international students
The same admission conditions and good knowledge of the Slovak language apply to foreign students.

Written exam biology with a focus on human anatomy and physiology test, the content of which corresponds to the level of the secondary school curriculum. The test consists of 50 questions, the time limit is 45 minutes. The test is written on tablets provided by the faculty.
The candidates with the highest number of points in the test (correct answers) will be admitted. The results will be published on the FZV UCM in Trnava website: http://fzv.ucm.sk
