Machinery and Mechanisation of Agricultural Production

The content and forms of education are intended to teach the graduate the principles of scientific work, to formulate problems in the field of agricultural mechanization and also how to solve them. To lead students to systematic work with professional literature, participation in experimental work, analysis of obtained experimental results, drawing conclusions and finding ways to implement the acquired knowledge in further development of science and practice.



Prospects of graduates

The graduate will acquire broader and deeper theoretical knowledge, abilities and skills for mastering scientific methods of research and development applicable in the field of mechanization of agricultural production and related technical fields. The graduate of the study programme acquires professional competence for scientific research activities in the field of agricultural mechanisation, management of agricultural primary production and processing of agricultural products, for managerial functions and teaching activities in the field. Its profile synthesises scientific knowledge in the field of the specifics of the interaction of technical means with biological materials and the overall environmental impact of the use of technology.

Conditions of admission

The basic conditions for admission to study a third cycle HE study programme are:

- higher education of the 2nd level of higher education

- successful completion of the entrance examination on the basis of the points indicated:

"Technology and Mechanisation of Agricultural Production"

- Mechanised production systems in crop production respectively

- Mechanized production systems from animal production (depends on the focus of the topic of the PhD thesis) 20 b

- Mechanized production systems from animal production (depends on the focus of the topic of the PhD thesis) 20 b

- Materials and engineering technologies 20 b

- Mobile and transport engineering 20 b

- World language (in written form) 20 b

- World language (oral interview in professional terminology

related to the chosen topic of the PhD thesis) 20 b

- Academic average during the 1st and 2nd cycle of higher education:

for the range 1.00 - 1.5020 b

for the range 1.51 - 2.0010 b

- Publication activity will be taken into account by the relevant committee 10 b



Additional information

a) applicants for study from TF SPU in Nitra:

- copy of diploma from the 2nd degree of higher education,

- a copy of the state examination certificate from the 2nd cycle of higher education,

- a copy of the state examination certificate from the 2nd cycle of higher education,

- a statement of grades and averages for the entire period of study (1st cycle of higher education and 2nd cycle of higher education),

- a statement of the grades and averages achieved for the entire period of study (1st cycle of higher education and 2nd cycle of higher education),

  • personal attendance of the applicant at the entrance examination on the specified date,
  • successful completion of the admission procedure (the applicants with the highest number of points obtained will be admitted),
