General Crop Production
Doctoral program Crop Production aims to train professionals who are able to solve the issues of the model of multifunctional agriculture in response to international documents. The graduate of the study program Crop Production control methods and practices of sustainable use of natural resources in agricultural areas, sustainable systems and technologies for plant production in relation to agro-ecological indicator, production-physiological parameters yield formation in sustainable cropping systems.

The graduate of study program Crop Production alone can address the challenges in the field of scientific methods of research, interpretation and prediction in general crop production. Graduates of the study program find employment as university teachers, researchers and professionals of scientific research institutions, business entities in the agri-food sector.

1. Graduation of the II. level of higher education.
2. The completeness of an application for doctoral studies together with its attachments, by the deadline.
3. The personal attendance the candidate for entrance exam.
4. An entrance exam under the conditions described below.
5. Doctoral candidates at FAFR graduated relevant or related study program under accreditation FAFR. Conditions and demands placed on the applicant are specified in the particular theme to which the applicant is applied.
Conditions for international students
Foreign applicants for study from the European Union member states or states that are party to the European Economic Area and Swiss Confederation, the Republic of Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Montenegro Republic of Macedonia, the Republic of Serbia Ukrajinyalebo citizens with permanent residence in a Member State shall admission under the same conditions as nationals SR. Foreign candidates from other countries can apply for study at FAPZ.

The admission procedure for doctoral studies at the FAFR SUA in Nitra is carried out under the Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education Institutions and on the amendment and supplement to some other acts, pursuant to the Study Regulations of SUA in Nitra and the Statute of FAFR SUA in Nitra.
Form of entrance exam
The admission committee evaluates applicants for postgraduate study in entrance exams and assigns points for the following criteria:
1. Participation and results on the Students' Science Conference
a) For active participation in the Students' Science Conference (oral presentation) each applicant shall assign 5 points. For passive participation (book of abstract), the applicant is not allocated any points.
b) For placement applicant in the first place at the Student Scientific Conference will be allocated 5 points.
Every placement from the first place below reduced the points by deducting two points to third place. For lower positions points are not allocated.
2. Publication activities
Depending on the quality of publications (documented by hard copies) an applicant can get in total of max. 10 points.
- 3. Study mean
For full-time doctoral study applicants funded by the Ministry of Education and external applicants for doctoral study admission committee takes into account the reached study mean in university up to a value 2. If study mean is equal 2.0 the applicant receives no points. Candidate may obtain in total 40 points if study mean is equal to 1.00. For every increase in study mean about every tenth is score reduced by 4 points.
4. The level of knowledge of foreign language
Applicants of full-time and external doctoral studies require at least intermediate level knowledge of foreign languages as required offered themes. The entrance exam of foreign language consists of 30 points test which must be developed by all doctoral applicants.
5. The level of expertise in the chosen field of science
The admission commission through scientific debate examines and evaluates the candidate's level of knowledge in the field of science subjects on which candidates are enrolled. Maximum number of points for the level of knowledge is 10.
