Control Systems in Production Engineering
Graduates of the study programme Control Systems in Production Technology will acquire theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of information and control systems with emphasis on their application in production processes. The student will be able to analyze and solve situations that may arise in their design, creation and application in the production process. Possesses knowledge of the possibilities of using control elements and systems for various types of production technology. Integrates the technical, information, communication and economic knowledge necessary to ensure the design and operation of these systems. Can solve technical problems caused by their operation. The graduate knows, can operate, design and implement appropriate systems for specific technical equipment and production processes. Knows the principles and principles of design and control of control elements and is able to develop appropriate application software for their operation and control. Can ensure the safe, reliable, economical and environmentally sound operation of a production process through an appropriate information and/or control system.
Prospects of graduates
Graduates of the study programme Control Systems in Production Technology at the first level of university studies (Bc.) are equipped with the necessary knowledge and prerequisites for further studies at the second level (Ing.). They are able to analyse and solve problems in production processes. They have knowledge of the possibilities of using control elements and systems for various types of production technology. Integrate the technical, information, communication and economic knowledge necessary to ensure the design and operation of these systems. The graduate is able to manage manufacturing systems and use the general knowledge of applied sciences necessary for understanding and mastering the concepts, principles and interrelationships operating in control and information systems for manufacturing technology. The student is able to use information technology and create his/her own application and control programs. Definition of the graduate's areas of application: - Middle-level production process control worker, - Programmer, system analyst, application programmer, - employee of commercial companies focused on the sale of information or control technology, - employee of companies focused on software development for control and information systems, - technical staff in research and development centres.

In the admission interviews, the results of the secondary school studies in mathematics and physics are taken into account (if the candidate has not taken physics in the secondary school for 4 years, another science subject, a vocational technical subject or computer science is taken into account in the relevant years). The results of the school-leaving examination will also be taken into account in the scoring. Applicants may also apply for more than one study programme (within one admission fee) with one application form. Each applicant will undergo only one admission test - an oral interview - and will be given information about the admission procedure and an invitation to a specific date on which they will be interviewed. Proof of payment of the admissions fee must accompany the application form. Without proof of payment of the fee, the application will not be registered. After the admission procedure, the applicant will receive only one statement of acceptance or non-acceptance, comprehensive for all the study programmes for which he/she has applied.
Conditions for international students
Foreign applicants who apply to study a foreign programme in the Slovak language are admitted under the same conditions as citizens of the Slovak Republic. Requirements:
- Proof of knowledge of the Slovene language,
- nostrified proof of secondary school graduation.

The basic condition for admission to the bachelor's study programme is the acquisition of complete secondary education or complete secondary vocational education. The admission procedure for all bachelor's degree programmes will take place in the form of interviews (without entrance examinations), based only on the evaluation of the results of the secondary school studies.
