Academic psychology

The study programme School Psychology (3rd degree) prepares students in the field of psychological specialisation, especially in educational and school psychology, in the context of current national and international trends and challenges of the 21st century, with an emphasis on psychology in education. Students are prepared to manage the educational process in the spheres of education, culture, health, social care, work, research, etc. with a view to the positive personal and mental development of children, young people and adults.

Conditions of admission

The basic condition for admission to the doctoral study programme "School Psychology", which is included in the field of study Psychology, is the successful completion of the second cycle of university studies and passing the entrance examination.

Conditions for international students

A graduate of a foreign university shall enclose a certified photocopy of the decision on the equivalence of the educational document or on the recognition of the educational document, or a nostrification clause.

General information on the admission exam

Graduates can apply for PhD studies:

second degree of higher education (Mgr.) in the field of study Psychology,
first and second cycle of higher education studies combined into one unit in the field of study Psychology or in a related field of study,
second degree of higher education (Mgr.) in the study programme Teaching of Academic Subjects in Psychology + a second subject and after completing an accredited master's degree in the study field of Psychology at the Faculty of Psychology of the PEVŠ.
