Management of plant production
Study program educates specialists in biological, technical and economical disciplines enabling effective management of plant production under working process conditions within different forms of agricultural enterprices. Graduates understand biological, technological and socio-economical principles of sustainable agriculture. They are prepared to solve problems adherent to crop production process, yield formation and realization on the market, protection of nature and natural resources in wider European context.
Prospects of graduates
Graduates are ready to work in managing and special positions in different agricultural cooperative or private enterprices, biological and chemical services, in breeding or seed production institutions, research institutions, commercial services, etc.

The basic condition for admission to study (§56 of Act No.131/2002 Coll. as amended) is the completion of secondary education or secondary vocational education. Another condition is to submit medical certificate of qualification for university studies and professional practice. Foreign applicants for the study of European Union member states or states that are party to the European Economic Area and Switzerland, the Republic of Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Montenegro, the Republic of Macedonia, Moldova, Republic of Serbia, Ukraine or citizens residing in a Member State shall take the same conditions as nationals of the Slovak Republic. Foreign students from other countries can apply for study at FAFR SUA in Nitra:
- on the basis of agreements between after successful completion of language training at the Institute of Language and Training University in Bratislava,
-as a self-financing.
Conditions for international students
Foreign applicants for the study from European Union member states or states that are party to the European Economic Area and Switzerland, the Republic of Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Montenegro, the Republic of Macedonia, Moldova, Republic of Serbia, Ukraine or citizens residing in a Member State shall take the same conditions as nationals of the Slovak Republic. - on the basis of international agreements after the successful completion of language training at the Institute of Language and Training University in Bratislava,
-as a self-financing.
Conditions of admission without the entrance exam
Candidates attend the admission interview with the required documents. Admission process is based on ranking list created by computer from the results achieved at school leaving examination. The results of school leaving exam are the most important for the evaluation of candidates. When filling the required number of students to particular study program Dean may admit other candidates in the order who fulfill conditions for an alternative study program.

A candidate for the study sends an application form for the bachelor's degree programs. In application form, the applicant may also provide an alternative study programme. Application includes a curriculum vitae, a secondary school leaving certificate and medical certificate of qualification for university studies and professional practice. Candidate who graduated in the same calendar year in which apply to university study bring secondary school leaving certificate for admission interview. After successful completion of bachelor degree students can continue on the chosen Master degree study programme.
