The necessity of such a group of vertically related specialisations to the first degree programme in Finance, Banking and Insurance is caused by the progress in the field of financial theory, the process of globalisation of the world economy, world financial markets, the intensity of integration processes, as well as the demand for studying these programmes in the Slovak Republic and abroad. Without mastering the basics of theory, knowledge of the processes that take place within the domestic and world economy, as well as without mastering modern analytical and forecasting methods, it is not possible to occupy the more demanding professions related to the issues of modern finance.

Studying the study programme in English also means the possibility of offering this programme to applicants from abroad. At the same time, it is also an offer for those students who will be interested in completing part of their studies at Pavia University (double diploma) or NottinghamTrentUniversity(joint diplomaMSc.) as part of their studies at the second cycle. Studying in English also creates further opportunities for graduates to find employment abroad or in international companies operating in the Slovak Republic.
