Farming
A graduate of the Bachelor of Science in Farming program has a theoretical knowledge of the principles of the essential facts related to agricultural systems. In terms of practical skills and abilities, the graduate is able to design and implement agricultural systems in specific agro-climatic conditions, manage technological processes in the agricultural system and evaluate agricultural systems according to established quality parameters. He/she can cooperate with specialists from other professions, cooperate with managers and has knowledge of management. Graduates have knowledge of agricultural systems and subsystems, which they can design, adapt and direct.
Prospects of graduates
Graduates of this study programme can work as medium level managing and executive employees in technical-administrative area of agricultural companies oriented on plant or animal production, in technological process of agri-food companies as well as in private business in area of agri-food complex as farmers (farm managers). Graduates will be able to execute professional activities in agri-business, on the farm and in other agricultural subjects. They will be valid professionals in companies of biological, chemical services and commercial institutions. They can find place in research-development and educational institutions.

The basic condition for admission to study (§56 of Act No.131/2002 Coll. as amended) is the completion of secondary education or secondary vocational education. Another condition is to submit medical certificate of qualification for university studies and professional practice. Foreign applicants for the study of European Union member states or states that are party to the European Economic Area and Switzerland, the Republic of Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Montenegro, the Republic of Macedonia, Moldova, Republic of Serbia, Ukraine or citizens residing in a Member State shall take the same conditions as nationals of the Slovak Republic. Foreign students from other countries can apply for study at FAFR SUA in Nitra:
- on the basis of agreements between after successful completion of language training at the Institute of Language and Training University in Bratislava,
-as a self-financing.
Conditions for international students

Conditions of admission without the entrance exam
Candidates attend the admission interview with the required documents. Admission process is based on ranking list created by computer from the results achieved at school leaving examination. The results of school leaving exam are the most important for the evaluation of candidates. When filling the required number of students to particular study program Dean may admit other candidates in the order who fulfill conditions for an alternative study program.

A candidate for the study sends an application form for the bachelor's degree programs. In application form, the applicant may also provide an alternative study programme. Application includes a curriculum vitae, a secondary school leaving certificate and medical certificate of qualification for university studies and professional practice. Candidate who graduated in the same calendar year in which apply to university study bring secondary school leaving certificate for admission interview. After successful completion of bachelor degree students can continue on the chosen Master degree study programme.
