Economy and Management in International Business
Economics and Management of International Business is an accredited study programme from the academic year 2005/2006 at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the Pan-European University (PEVŠ) in Bratislava, as a study programme of the second - engineering degree of higher education. Graduates are qualified to perform economic and managerial functions in the field of foreign trade and other international business and financial operations in companies, financial institutions and the civil service. They are able to solve specific economic problems related to international business activities.
Prospects of graduates
Graduates from Master study programme Economy and Management in International Business are prepared so as to be able to hold any executive and managerial office in given fields on pertinent professional level. The contents and character of the programme provides graduates with complex knowledge and personal and professional skills for creative and independent fulfilling tasks arising from actual economic situations and real economic life. Since graduates are required to realize a part of their studies in a foreign language either at the faculty or abroad, they achieve a level of proficiency necessary to work in international companies, organisations and institutions. Graduates' prospects:
managers and executive officers in local companies being in contact in some way with foreign companies or institutions.
managers and executive officers in Slovak companies operating abroad managers and executive officers in international and multi-national companies, institutions and organizations.
executive officers and directors of public authorities and organizations keeping contacts with foreign partners mainly in the field of economy officers of representative bodies of the Slovak Republic involved mainly in economic issues and cooperation officers of local and international research institutes and bodies dealing with research and projects in economy on international level doctoral studies.

Applicants for admission to the 2nd degree study programme must have completed their first degree studies in the field of study Economics and Management, or in similar study programmes, which demonstrate the prerequisites for successful completion of the second degree studies at the FEP.
Additional information
Student applicants will submit their application exclusively electronically. The Faculty of Economics and Business Studies does not accept applications in printed form, which means that the applicant does not print the e-application from the system either! The e-application will only be considered complete if all sections are filled in correctly. The admission fee must also be paid.
The application form is submitted separately for full-time and part-time studies, the fee is paid separately for each form of study.
Conditions for international students
Foreigners study at the faculty as:a) students according to the Higher Education Act and the study regulations of the school,b) on the basis of international treaties to which the Slovak Republic is bound,c) on the basis of cooperation agreements, international programmes, European Union programmes for academic mobility. Foreign applicants and applicants who have completed their secondary school studies or part of them abroad are obliged to apply to the competent regional education authority for recognition (nostrification) of the document of education of a secondary school graduate abroad or for the issue of a certificate of equivalence of the document of education (in the cases of states with which the SR has concluded an agreement on mutual recognition of documents of education).

Applicants are required to submit their applications form on the address of the Law College in Bratislava by the appointed date. Applications form shall include:
required information and applicant's signature (standard forms: ŠEVT, EkonSpo, IGAZ)
language preference for entrance exam
verified document proving completion of Bachelor degree (diploma and report)
CV with applicant's signature
statement listing all exams within the previous degree.
The entrance interview shall confirm closeness of links between Bachelor degree already earned by the applicant and Master degree studies they apply for. Foreign language competence level may be assessed in a written test if needed. Graduates from similar study programmes may be required by the Dean to sit for differential exams.

If the correct variable symbol is not used, the payment is not paired and the study department cannot continue to work with the application. The fee will not be refunded once the application has been registered, in the event of non-attendance at the entrance examination or cancellation of the application by the applicant.
