Transport Services in Passenger Transport

Graduates are employable in companies providing public passenger transport at the regional, national or international level, but also in the positions of public administration which provides transport services in the region (Ministry of Transport, Construction and Regional Development of the Slovak Republic SR, self-governing regions of the Slovak Republic, individual 7 municipalities). Graduates are also employable in organisations providing logistics of passenger transport, such as taxi service. They can also find work in tourism in providing passenger transport services by individual transport systems from and to centres tourist centres. Graduates can work in state administration and self-government bodies in the management of passenger transport in the context of transport and land use planning, urban planning and tourism development in a particular region taking into account the requirements of environment protection.

Conditions of admission

1. The basic condition of admission to the bachelor's study (first degree study programme) is the acquisition of complete secondary education or complete secondary vocational education (Act on Higher Education No.131/2002 Coll.).
2. The necessary condition of admission to the study is the submission of an application for university study (Act on Higher Education No.131 Coll.).
3. Language prerequisites - written and oral proficiency in Slovak or Czech, study at the faculty, including the possibility of completing one of its components in higher years abroad, requires applicants to have knowledge of at least one of the world languages at least in the scope of the secondary school curriculum (English, German, Spanish, French, Russian).
4. Medical fitness - the faculty does not require a medical certificate of medical fitness for higher education and accepts applications without a medical certificate for all levels of higher education, except for the professional pilot programme, where applicants must present a Class I medical certificate from the Institute of Aviation and Preventive Medicine Košice or the Institute of Aviation and Preventive Medicine Prague or another EASA Member State in accordance with the requirements of PART - FCL 1 during the entrance examination.

Conditions for international students

For foreign applicants, the admission conditions apply as for applicants from the Slovak Republic.
Foreign students who study in a language other than the state language pay tuition fees according to the conditions set out in Section 92(8) of the Higher Education Act. The tuition fee is set by the UNIZA Directive and published for the respective academic year at www.uniza.sk.
Foreign students studying in the Slovak language do not pay tuition fees. Applicants from the Czech Republic may use the form valid in the Czech Republic to apply for studies. For applicants who do not actively speak Slovak or Czech, successful completion of language training is required (with the possibility of completing it at UNIZA).
For foreign applicants admitted on the basis of interstate agreements or for scholarship holders of the Government of the Slovak Republic, the conditions specified in the respective agreements apply.



Conditions of admission without the entrance exam

Applicants from grammar schools with an arithmetic average of marks on the school report card for the penultimate year of studies (not the final year of studies) up to and including 2.50 and from other (other) secondary schools with an arithmetic average for the penultimate year of studies (not the final year of studies) up to and including 2.00 will be admitted without an entrance examination.

Applicants who have taken the NPS General Studies or Mathematics SCIO tests in the current school year and have achieved a percentile score of at least 60 will also be admitted without an entrance exam.

To be admitted without an entrance exam, meeting one of the above conditions is sufficient.
