Security Management
The graduates are capable to perform the profession of security and managerial specialists in an organization which provide services of human and property protection and technical managers and experts on the basic level of management in the police system and security agencies. They master the problems of security management and also have the basic knowledge of technical means of protection and associated legislation
Prospects of graduates
The study is focused on university preparation of specialists providing security protection services of tangible and intangible assets of citizens, natural persons, legal persons, municipalities and the state from the effect of security risk as well as being able to design and operate integrated electronic object protection systems. The graduate gains knowledge in the respective technical, economic and social sciences and the ability to apply them for the conditions of security management. The study is a precondition for application and mobility of the study graduate in security services and in state administration authorities, self-governments, enterprises and companies.

The basic condition for admission to bachelor studies (first degree study programme) is the acquisition of a complete secondary education or a complete secondary vocational education (Act on Higher Education No.131/2002 Coll., as amended).
In the case of a foreign applicant, or a student who has completed secondary education abroad, this education is comparable to the education completed by the matriculation examination in the Slovak Republic. An applicant who has obtained secondary education abroad shall submit a decision on the recognition of the document on the completion of secondary education by the relevant institution in the Slovak Republic with the application for university studies, or at the latest at the time of enrolment in the studies.

Admission test
Applicants who do not meet the admission requirements without an entrance exam will take a written test of general knowledge. The general knowledge test verifies the basic prerequisites and abilities that a student needs to be successful in higher education.
The test includes a quantitative part (simple mathematical word problems, analytical and logical thinking, reasoning, inference), a linguistic part (the ability to analyse the linguistic resources of the Slovak language in terms of their grammatical, lexical and stylistic properties, meaning and form in the vocabulary), and a general social overview (orientation to current domestic and foreign events).
Applicants will be admitted on the basis of the results of the admission procedure in order of total points achieved until the planned capacity is filled. The final decision on the outcome of the admission procedure will be determined by the Dean of FBI UNIZA on the basis of the proposal of the Faculty Admissions Committee. The Dean is responsible for supplementing the number of admitted applicants for study programmes in the 1st year of Bachelor's studies to the expected number of applicants who have fulfilled the conditions for admission in another Bachelor's study programme but have not been admitted due to the capacity of the originally chosen study programme. In selected bachelor's degree programmes, a second round of admissions will also be organised in the event of vacancies. The list of bachelor study programmes for the second round of admissions, the deadline for submitting applications and the date of the admission procedure will be published by 20 June 2022. The admission conditions and the form of the admission procedure for bachelor studies are the same as for the first round of admissions.

Conditions for international students
Foreign applicants are admitted under the respective inter-governmental agreements or at own expenses. The applicants from EU countries are admitted and study under the same conditions as the students from the Slovak Republic. The applicants from the Czech Republic may use for submitting the study application form the valid in the Czech Republic. In case of applicants with no active command of Slovak or Czech language successful attendance of language preparation at The University of Žilina is required.
Conditions of admission without the entrance exam
without entrance exams will be accepted the applicants having for each of the last two secondary school years including the leaving exam an average of up to 1.5 and pass leaving exam in Mathematics
the applicants that doe not meet these criteria will take written tests focused on Mathematics, Informatics and foreign language
