Anotácia originálnych výsledkov riešenia projektu v slovenskom jazyku
Vypracovaná učebnica v slovenskom jazyku publikovaná vo vydavateľstve VEDA, vypracované powerpointovské prezentácie prednášok a metodické listy k pokročilým experimentálnym cvičeniam, pripravené a publikované v rámci projektu, predstavujú jedinečný a efektívny edukačný materiál venovaný metodike kvapalinovej chromatografie, hmotnostnej spektrometrii a ich on-line kombináciám, cieleným na aktuálnu farmaceutickú a biomedicínsku analýzu. Naviac sú v tejto aplikačnej oblasti diskutované alternatívne separačné prístupy reprezentované elektromigračnými metódami a ich pokročilými modifikáciami. Takýto edukačný materiál komplexne pokrýva problematiku kvapalinovej chromatografie a kombinovaných/alternatívnych techník s reflexiou súčasného stavu, pričom dôraz kladie nielen na osvojenie si základných poznatkov, ale zároveň podnecuje študentov k vlastnej tvorivej vedeckej práci. Originálne experimentálne výsledky zahrnuté i do publikačných výstupov (pôvodné vedecké práce v renomovaných karentovaných zahraničných časopisoch) kladú dôraz na vývoj nových analytických metód a postupov na báze konvenčných i inovatívnych HPLC, resp. CE techník s využitím v oblasti farmácie, biomedicíny alebo klinickej praxe. Tieto metódy v spojení s rozličnými typmi detekcie (UV detekcia, detekcia poľom diód, hmotnostná spektrometria) mnohými parametrami (citlivosť, selektivita, on-line úprava vzorky, automatizovateľnosť pracovného postupu) prekonávajú doposiaľ používané konvenčné prístupy a preto majú reálny predpoklad uplatniť sa v pokročilých analýzach uskutočňovaných v rutinných, ale i výskumných laboratóriách s biomedicínskym zameraním.
Description of original results of the project in English
Slovak text-book published by VEDA, powerpoint presentations of the lectures and methodic letters to the advanced experimental practices, prepared and published during the project, represent a unique and effective educational material dedicated to the methodology of liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry and their on-line combinations aimed at the current pharmaceutical and biomedical analysis. Moreover, the alternative separation approaches such as electromigration methods and their advanced modifications are discussed in this application area too. Such educational material provides complex covering of the matter of liquid chromatography and combined/alternative techniques with the reflection of the current state whereby special emphasis is placed not only on the acquisition of basic knowledge but also encourage scientific creativity in students. Published original experimental results (research papers in reputable international journals registered in Current Contents database) are focused on the development of new analytical methods and approaches based on conventional and innovative HPLC and CE techniques applicable in the pharmaceutical, biomedical fields or clinical practice. These methods hyphenated with various detection techniques (UV, diode array detection, mass spectrometry) are superior by many performance parameters (sensitivity, selectivity, on-line sample treatment, automatization of whole working procedure) to the established conventional approaches, and therefore they have a great potential to be implemented in advanced analyses of routine as well as research biomedical laboratories.
