Anotácia originálnych výsledkov riešenia projektu v slovenskom jazyku
Zámerom projektu "Podpora procesu výučby paralelného a distribuovaného spracovania údajov" bolo podporiť budovanie predmetov súvisiacich s touto oblasťou a tým umožniť študentom získanie znalostí a skúseností na úrovni súčasného stavu v tejto oblasti. Metódy paralelného a distribuovaného spracovania boli tiež aplikované v oblastiach záujmu riešiteľov a to hlavne v oblasti počítačovej grafiky, strojového videnia, strojového učenia a mobilného počítania. Konkrétnym výstupom popularizujúcim paralelné spracovanie je modul plánovania spojení v riešení iTransit, ktorý umožňuje prostredníctvom mobilných zariadení získať informácie o optimálnej trase k zadanému cieľu prostredníctvom liniek mestskej hromadnej dopravy v Bratislave. Riešenie získalo ocenenia "Najlepšia nebrendovaná aplikácia" a "Najlepšia smartphone aplikácia" na prvej slovenskej súťaži mobilných aplikácií.
Description of original results of the project in English
The aim of the project "Support of Education of Parallel and Distributed Processing" was to develop university courses related to the given field and thus help students to gain knowledge an experience on the state-of-the-art level in this field. Methods of parallel and distributed processing were also applied by investigators in fields of their interest, mainly in computer graphics, computer vision, machine learning and mobile computing. One of application heavily using parallel processing is the trip planner module of iTransit solution, that helps users to find connections in Bratislava city public transit network using their mobile phones. On the first Slovak mobile app competition this solution has won two categories: "The Best Smartphone App" and "The Best Non-Branded App".
