The Faculty of Education has throughout its history, in various forms and guises of its existence, focused primarily on the university training of teachers for primary and secondary schools as well as professionals working in both in-school and out-of-school institutions and facilities. Following the tradition of teacher education, the current philosophy of education and educational policy, the Faculty of Pedagogy continues to direct its educational and research activities towards the preparation of graduates of the programmes of teaching academic, art, educational, vocational and practical subjects, teaching for primary education and the teaching programme of pre-school and elementary pedagogy. In the context of societal needs, it also prepares specialists in non-teaching study programmes with the possibility of applying in the field of intercultural mediation in state and public administration, in the field of regional development, tourism, occupational health, sports and music, education in school, out-of-school, corporate and other educational establishments.
The Faculty of Education also creates conditions for the implementation of various programmes of continuous - qualification studies and other forms of lifelong learning.
The system of education is dynamically optimized so that graduates of individual study programmes of bachelor, master and doctoral studies are able to successfully and creatively solve the tasks that they will be confronted with in their daily practice.
