2.2.  The application form needs to be submitted in electronic form without a secured signature using the academic information system of the STU (from now on, just 'AIS').

An applicant for the study might also deliver the paper form of the application form filled out of AIS on the application form prescribed by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sports of the Slovak Republic to the address: Slovenská technická univerzita, Ústav manažmentu, študijné oddelenie, Vazovova 5, 812 43 Bratislava.

Sending the application form (electronically or by post) together with required annexes stated in the point 2.3 is an inevitable condition for a successful submission of the application form for the study at the SUT to 31.5.2023.

The basic condition for the admission to the study in the engineering SP is the university education of the first degree or university education of the second degree.

Another condition for the admission to the study is to pay the fee for provision of the admission procedure.

2.3   Obligatory supplements to application for study:

a)      Curriculum vitae

b)      Proof of payment of the fee for material management of the admission (a receipt of the postal order, bank receipt about money transfer or the account statement, from which the fee was paid, the readable name and surname of the applicant forwhom the fee was paid has to be clear), adds just an applicant who did not pay the fee for material management of the admission with the payment card in the application of the electronic application form in the AIS.

c)     A certified copy of the state examination certificate of the previous first-degree university studies.

d)       A certified copy of the university diploma of the previous university studies of the first degree.

e)    A certified copy of the supplement to the university diploma or a certified copy of the transcript of completed subjects and exams of the previous first-degree university studies.

(In the graduates from the STU, the certified copy of documents stated in the letter c) up to e) is not the condition. The certified copy is required just for the applicants who did not complete the study at the STU.)

 f)   Applicants who completed the education necessary for the fulfilment of the essential condition of the acceptance for the study abroad attach the certified copies of the documents about the completion of the previous university study together with its translation into the Slovak language together with the decision about the recognition of the documents about the education issued by the Ministry of Education, Science and Research and Sports of the Slovak Republic under & 33 or issued by the Ministry of Education, Science and Research and sport under & 39 of Act No. 422/2015 Cool about the Recognition of the Documents about the Education and Recognition of Professional Qualifications and the change as amended. The provisions of this letter do not apply to applicants who completed high education at a high school in the Czech Republic, who attach supplements to the application according to letters c) to e) of this point.

g) Applicants who apply for the study program conducted exclusively in the English language must attach a document proving knowledge of the English language at least at the B1 level, which can be a certificate of knowledge of the English language, proof of passing a state language exam in English, TOEFL, IELTS, etc. The condition of proving knowledge of the English language is also considered to be fulfilled if the applicant has completed a previous university study provided exclusively in the England language.

h)   the applicants with specific needs submit together with the application form also the request  to assess their specific needs and determine the range of supportive services for the entrance examination in the wording of the guideline of the rector No 5/2013-SR, which is published on the website of the website of the SUT: https://www.stuba.sk/sk/studentov/studenti-a-uchadzaci-so-specifickymi-potrebami.html?page_id=6717 to create adequate conditions from the side of the SUT for them to take part in the entrance examination.

 In case the application form was sent electronically according to the point 2.2, the applicant must also send documents in paper (scanned) and insert them as pdf attached to the application form in the AIS.

In case of the delivered application form is an electronic form, an applicant will deliver the required supplements to the application (scanned) and insert them as a pdf attachment.

A conditionally accepted applicant will deliver the documents on fulfilled essential condition for admission to the study of the engineering study programme according to letters c) to f) of this point on the day of the enrolment for the study at the latest.

In case the application form does not contain all data or not all required documents published in this point are attached, the IM STU is entitled to ask the applicants to fix the drawbacks of the application form and to deliver the missing supplements in the determined time. Suppose  applicants do not fulfil this condition in the given time, they will receive the decision about not accepting the study in SP due to not fulfilling the conditions for acceptance to the study.

Applicants who passed the school leaving examination abroad shall enclose a certified document about completed secondary education together with the decision about the recognition of the document issued by the district office in the seat of the region in the wording of § 36 or 39 of the Act No. 422/2015 Coll. on recognition of documents on education and on recognition of professional qualifications and on changing and amending certain laws  as amended.

The applicants who apply for the study programme in the English Language submit the certificate on the knowledge of language/the document on the state examination in the English language, TOEFL, IELTS and so on.

For the students applying to study  in English language the certificate level B2 is required.

Graduates from the first-degree university study programme at the STU who achieved in all subjects weighted study average (WSA) not worse than 2.0, can be accepted to the second degree without entrance exam.

Graduates of the first-degree study programme Spatial Planning at STU who in bachelor study did not achieve above mentioned results as well as all other graduates from the first-degree university study can be accepted to the second degree of the study programme Spatial Planning based on successful completion of entrance exam.

Framework content of the entrance examination

a)        Klauzura work or spatial-planning document,

b)        Portfolio of project works and final bachelor diploma work

Personal interview oriented mainly to the defence of klauzura work or spatial-planing document and portfolio evaluation. 

Entrance exam consists of 2 parts and it is anonymous:

a)        written part – the final examination work (kluazura) or spatial-planning document,

b)        personal interview oriented mainly to defence of the final examination work (klauzura) work or spatial-planning document and evaluation of portfolio of project works
